"The Land of the Astronauts" will take part in the official competition at the 12th Mumbai Film Festival October 21st – 28th 2010. The section "World Cinema" of the Film Festival, mirroring the latest trends in filmmaking, focuses on screening the best films from all over the world produced within the past 12 months.

The VFX for "The Land of the Astronauts" have been finalized and delivered. In the meantime, the "Hollywood Reporter" announced the participation of Carl Colpaert's "The Land of the Astronauts" in the official competition at the Montreal World Film Festival taking place 26th August to 06th September 2010. The Premiere will be held 3rd September at the Cinema Imperial in Montreal. "The Land of the Astronauts is one of two US American contributions taking part in the festival this year.

4k supervised the VFX production for "The Land of the Astronauts".

"The Land of the Astronauts" is an Independent Motion Picture produced by Los Angeles based Blackwater Productions L.L.C.

Jack McKenzie (David Arquette), a down on his luck former hotshot Film Composer with a big Sci-Fi 80's cult classic film takes on the demeaning job of limo driver to support his wife and daughter. This hasn't been the best year for Jack. His marriage is in trouble, his career is in ruins and he's an alcoholic. Something has to break and it looks like it just might be his mind. As he begins his new job driving around one of Hollywood's biggest stars, the humiliation, the pressure and drinking bring Jack even lower. He has nightmares and delusions of death, success and past accomplishments. He becomes more desperate and wildly unpredictable. In addition, the limo Jack drives has a spotted history of violence. He begins to feel the pain that the car has witnessed over time. Is it all real or imagined? Is it the liquor talking or haunted spirits? Nash, his wife tries to help, but Jack's on a journey all on his own. He does everything he can to get himself back to where he was before but the bottle keeps getting in the way.

4k delivered VFX for the movie "Una Vita Tranquilla".

The story of an Italian who murdered thirty-two people, gained power, but subsequently got scared because too many people were after his life. One August morning, he disappeared. For fifteen years, everyone believed him dead. Instead, however, he lived in a little hotel near Frankfurt, with a wife and a young German son. Then, when the trains filled with waste departed from Naples, the past climbed on board.

4k produced the VFX for this historical feature about Bridget Adams, the first woman in Germany who struggled to study medicine and subsequently became a doctor. Torsten Dewi, Katrin Kaiser and Christoph Callenberg wrote the script fort his extraordinary female biography, Martin Enlen directed the film. The principle male roles were played by Justus von Dohnányi and Martin Feifel, supported by August Zirner and Inka Friedrich in further roles.
