Two new episodes of Team Deutschland went on-air on Thursday, January 8th and January 15th 2009 and repeated on the night from Friday to Saturday. 4k was commissioned to produce the animation for these new episodes. This weekly TV format features animated comedy about German politicians and other VIPs.

02/02/2009 > PROJECT UPDATE > Fruchttiger Frucht-Snack TVC
The New Year started with another TV commercial for FruchtTiger, granini’s children’s brand. This is now the 13th production of the successful little jungle hero where, as in the past, 4k did the backgrounds, packshots and compositing for little green bag, Hamburg.
10/02/2009 > PROJECT UPDATE > Bibi Blocksberg "Nintendo DS"
4k adapted their twenty five-second TV commercial for the latest Nintendo DS product "Bibi Blocksberg" for the cinema.
06/04/2009 > NEW PROJECT > Dr. Hope
4k produced the visual effects for the two part TV feature (ZDF) with the working title "Dr. Hope - Hoffnung kann nicht sterben". In this historical two part TV feature Heike Makatsch plays Hope Bridget Adams, the first woman in Germany who struggled to study medicine and subsequently became a doctor. Torsten Dewi, Katrin Kaiser and Christoph Callenberg wrote the script for this unusual female biography, Martin Enlen directed the film. The principle male roles were played by Justus von Dohnányi and Martin Feifel and with August Zirner and Inka Friedrich in further supporting roles.

4k gets involved into the production of visual effects for the TV-Series "Soko Leipzig" an UFA production for ZDF.
01/06/2009 > NEW PROJECT > VFX for "Masserberg"
4k has been handed over the task of producing visual effects for "Masserberg" in Berlin. "Masserberg" is another TV-Film directed by Martin Enlen produced by Bavaria Fernsehproduktion GmbH for ARD.
02/06/2009 > CHARITY > 4k supports "Aktion Weitblick"
The "Aktion Weitblick" - assisted living - is a non-profit making organization which caters for handicapped people. 4k has provided creative and technical support the for the production of an image film that gives an insight into the work they do.

03/06/2009 > PROJECT-UPDATE > "HOPE" at the Filmfest München 2009
From the 26th of June to the 4th of July 2009 Germany's largest Summer Festival is showing more than 200 films on 15 screens. In the category "New TV Films" the two-part film produced by Hofmann & Voges, Dr. Hope, is being shown, a biopic about the revolutionary medical doctor, Hope Bridget Adams. Directed by Martin Enlen and starring Heike Makatsch, Justus von Dohnányi and Martin Feifel and was produced for the ZDF. 4k produced the visual effects.

Congratulations! More than a million internet users can't be mistaken. And even if the comments are not always G-rated, the red devil has still attained 4.5 of 5 likeability points. It is often the low-key projects that are more fun and that finally soar in popularity. But Mr. Chaos is the exception that proves the rule. Far from being low-key, he is more like a bull in a china shop in his chaotic jaunts through Berlin. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jamba for enabling Mr. Chaos to permanently make a complete nuisance of himself by providing him with the perfect platform to do so. And when the official patent from the patent office in Munich suddenly arrived we knew that Hollywood was definitely on the horizon for Mr. Chaos. To celebrate the occasion we have uploaded some outtakes to YouTube. We recommend for example, his own contribution to utilizing alternative energy sources for locomotion.

05/06/2009 > OFFTOPIC > New address for 4k in Berlin
When our old premises were needed for the expansion of the hotel in the front part our office building, our landlord made us an offer we couldn't refuse. So we took the plunge and relocated to a super new domicile at Köllnischen Park, not far away from our old studio. Everyone has settled in nicely and even Mr. Chaos gets on very well with Schnute und Maxi, the two bears that live in the enclosure facing our new premises. And anyone who is reminiscent of the old 4K studio can book a hotel room in the “Hotel am Scheunenviertel” when it is ready next winter. We would also like to take this opportunity of thanking the IdealWert AG, Igor and the team from the hotel, everyone from 4k etc. who helped make the move go smoothly without losing any valuable production time. And by the way, Matze, no we are not a call centre. We need all the computers for animation and rendering and no it has nothing to do with package holidays and pool gymnastics.
